The first is the group picture from the arrival. Alex and I decided to stay home one extra day to be with Olivia, and then we left her with Gma Terece and Gpa Turkey Buzzard for the week (note: we've solved our Gpa Gary issue...we now have Gpa Gary Casqueiro and Gpa Turkey Buzzard Johnson). In this picture, everyone is standing in front of the stretch Escalade that took them to the hotel Cas-Dashian style :)
When we arrived the next day, I was thrilled to see this wonderful piece of memorabilia from my favorite show in the Flamingo. Although I wouldn't have picked Donny to win, I got to see the famous mirror-ball trophy in person!...OK not the hugest deal, but I enjoyed it!
Alex and I are not photogenic. I might as well get it out there, because I don't see it changing anytime soon. I'm so glad Olivia is making up for us with her cuteness, but this next few pictures just demonstrates how unloved we are by the camera.

Sunday night we went to Margaritaville for dinner, so fun! This is the closest to a group picture we got. Shirley is missing from this one, but the drunk boat captain on stilts was kind enough to take this for us. Happy belated 21-er Andy and Ashley!
After dinner we headed to downtown Las Vegas for the light show that they put on, and Alex decided to get his drink on :) - in fairness, one of these is my non-alcoholic version, and Alex only had 2 or 3 drinks the entire trip, but I like this double-fisting-it representation of the week
The Golden Nugget hotel downtown has the coolest pool in Vegas. Maybe not true, I've only actually seen 4 or 5, but this waterslide goes through a shark tank...on my bucket list for sure!
As a draw for tourists, downton Vegas has a huge light show that goes on every hour inthe evening. We watched a full show and parts of another, and it was really cool to see. The lights go on above all the casinos, and the show is set to music.

P.P.S. In case you're wondering about my lack of blogging, I don't mean to imply that we're not doing anything! Alex is down in Fresno, and has started his job, I'm in Philomath with Olivia at my parents' house, trying my best to keep her out of all the fun "toys" she finds...computer cords, phone books, the piano, and every piece of garbage that's invisible to the adult eye. I would like to say our life will settle down soon, but that would be a lie. Livvy and I are headed to Keizer for a long weekend tomorrow, the will be home for 3 days before leaving for Twin Lakes. After TL we will head directly to Boise to spend 3 weeks with Amber and her family, then home for about a month before the wedding, then down to Fresno to be reunited with Alex (can't wait!!)...My summer in a nutshell for those of you who were wondering!
