Well, it's time for some more notes from our time in Boise so I don't forget
#1: Olivia took her first big tumble! This was not funny in the least, but is a milestone, and is COMPLETELY a result of her "I can do it myself attitude." While we were all sitting in the living room for Family Night (August 8th), Olivia was crawling around getting into things, nothing crazy just the normal bookshelves and magazine racks. She loves to play the piano, and is always standing up to it, just barely reaching her hands to the keyboard, and playing a few notes ever so gently. This time though, she was walking from the low notes to the high notes, by walking along the piano bench. She's pretty sturdy on her feet, and doesn't really use her balancing object very much, but this time she must have pulled on it too hard because it came tumbling over her, crashed onto her belly and flipped over, landing with the seat part on her forehead and the legs the other direction, away from her head. It was so scary, because I was right there, watching, and couldn't do anything. She did scream for a minute, but quickly calmed down and only had a minor bump on her forehead to prove it (picture to come). She was a champ, and I'm sure this will be the first of many bumps and bruises that come as a result of her independent attitude.
#2: Olivia got her third tooth today! She already has two little teeth on the bottom that are coming in nicely, but I felt the first one on top today! This is a new concept for me, because I didn't get my first tooth until well aftre my first birthday, but I'm glad my daughter didn't inherit my weird teeth genes.
We are having a wonderful time in Boise, I'm enjoying every minute of it. It's so fun to see Olivia play with her older and younger cousins, and I absolutely love having sister time! Eventually I'll get back home and post some pictures and stories from the last two months of our life, but for right now I'm going to get back to the cleaning and organizing that has to happen while little O is asleep, because as soon as she wakes up she'll undo my work :)

For my memory...
... and your entertainment :)
First, I apologize for being absent. Life since Vegas has been absolutely crazy, and I'm currently in Boise (will be there until the 20th) so hopefully I'll catch up sometime between then and the big move. However, I didn't want to forget this joyous occasion :)
Today Olivia made her first big, disastrous mess! Amber and I had a date at Coldstone (yummm...) and had just finished getting our ice cream when I realized that Olivia was hungry, so I made her a bottle. I had just started giving it to her when she spit it out and reached for the ice cream. After calmly explaining that ice cream was a mom treat and her milk was melted ice cream anyway (working on my mom explanations :) ), I gave her the bottle again. Olivia is much busier now than she was even a few weeks ago, and after about half a second she had spit out the bottle and grabbed my spoon out of my mouth to suck on it. I was laughing until she threw the spoon on the ground - was that really necessary?
I needed to get a new spoon, so I stood up, grabbed Olivia and bottle, and headed to the counter. Just as I was asking the cashier for another spoon, Olivia threw her bottle to the ground in frustration. The bottle proceeded to crack on the bottom, spilling milk all over the floor, splashing it up the counter, and pouring out the entire 6 oz.
I have a strong feeling this won't be my last post of this nature, but wanted to record it carefully because it is her first big mess, and I was unable to get a picture, mostly due to embarrassment :).
