After the assemblage was complete, we were looking at some baby things, and Alex found these swaddling blankets. They are super awesome muslin blankets made especially for swaddling babies even in the summer. Alex was slightly taken aback by their size however...
"Forget the baby, this blanket could swaddle me!"
We got most of the nursery furniture items set up and organized, but were a little sad not to have a baby to model. We quickly came up with a plan B, and swaddled Olivia's first stuffed animal, which just happened to be a beaver!
Here is the beaver showing us the car seat and stroller...
Alex wanted to demonstrate the "football hold" (anyone surprised that this was his favorite?) used for nursing, but I told him he had to be modest, so he is modeling my nursing cover while nursing the beaver in a nice football hold.
We got the crib completely set up with the bedding, my favorite piece of the nursery. After we decided that Olivia's room would have a pink/brown geometrical designs theme, I found this bedding and fell in love. We recieved the set as a shower gift (thanks Mary!) and it still makes me smile every time I take her to bed.

This is the top of her dresser, although the pieces here won't stay once I get our apartment all organized! I really appreciate all the help from friends and family who have given us beautiful frames and other pieces to decorate our home with reminders of this wonderful addition to our family.

Problem #1: Baby shopping. In truth, we didn't need anything. However, it's impossible to go into a store pregnant and not immediately head to the baby section. So we compromised and decided we would purchase the "going home" outfit.
Needless to say, I closely monitored his baby-book-reading after that :) Who knew you could bring football into nursing!

Problem #2: There are two of us, and we are both slightly strong-willed and have our own taste in clothing.
Solution: We bought two outfits :)
**note**: Olivia wore the outfit I picked (the second one) home from the hospital, mostly because I packed the hospital bags.

Yay for your blogging :)! I've already seen almost all these pictures, but I still enjoyed it. Now you're a real blogger :). Nice work - and keep it coming :)
